A Leader Rooted in Service and Community
For Representative Devan Seabaugh, serving Georgia’s 34th District is more than a job—it’s a calling. Since being elected in 2021, Devan has worked tirelessly to represent the people in Marietta, Kennesaw, Acworth and West Cobb with compassion and a deep understanding of the community in which he was raised.
"Serving the people of Georgia’s 34th District is a great honor. It’s about so much more than making laws—it’s about listening, solving problems, and working together to create a community where families can thrive, businesses can grow, and we can all make life a little better for the people around us." -Representative Devan Seabaugh
A Career Built on Helping Others
Devan’s 40-year professional journey started on the frontlines of healthcare as a paramedic, where he spent over a decade providing life-saving care to those in need. Five of those years in the city of Atlanta with Grady EMS, where Devan faced some of the toughest emergency situations imaginable. His experiences shaped his commitment to serving others and prepared him for the leadership roles he would take on later. As an executive with Metro Atlanta Ambulance Service, he helped transform a small start-up with 10 employees into one of Georgia’s most respected ambulance providers, now employing more than 1,400 professionals. Through hard work and common sense, Devan’s career reflects his belief that strong leadership starts with listening, problem-solving, and finding practical solutions.
A Passion for Public Service
Devan didn’t just bring his business sense to the State House; he brought a passion for improving lives. He serves on several influential committees, including Appropriations, Transportation, Public Health, Code Revision and Art and Entertainment. Speaker Burns also appointed him to take on leadership roles as Vice Chairman of the Appropriations Health Subcommittee and the Industry and Labor Committee. He serves as a Deputy Whip for the Republican Caucus and as Vice Chairman of the Cobb County Legislative Delegation. Devan’s conservative values drive his approach to governance. He’s committed to ensuring children in Georgia have access to quality education, to reducing burdens on small businesses, maintaining law and order, and ensuring Georgia remains a top state for business. His leadership isn’t just about policies—it’s about protecting the values that make Georgia a place where families and businesses thrive.
Family and Community
When Devan isn’t at the Capitol or saving lives, you will find him spending quality time with his family. He and his wife, Beth, have been married for 33 years and have raised five children, all graduates of Kennesaw Mountain High School. Devan is now enjoying a new role as “Papa” to his 3- grandsons and 1-granddaughter.
Devan’s love for his community extends far beyond politics. He and Beth are members of First United Methodist Church in Marietta and he contributes his time to organizations like the Marietta Kiwanis Club, North Cobb Rotary Club, Cobb Chamber of Commerce, Leadership Cobb Alumni Association, the Earl Smith Strand Theater, Cobb Travel and Tourism Sports Alliance, SafeKids, Wellstar Kennestone Regional Health System and the Cobb Safety Village Foundation. One of his proudest achievements is creating the ‘Field of Flags’ project at Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park, a moving tribute to the victims of September 11, 2001.
A Vision for the Future
Whether advocating for better healthcare access, supporting local schools, or standing up for public safety, Devan’s focus remains on the people of his district. He believes in preserving Georgia’s values, supporting its businesses, and ensuring that every family in West Cobb has the opportunity to succeed. Through his roles as a state representative, healthcare executive, and community leader, Devan Seabaugh is proof that leadership rooted in service can make a lasting difference. For Devan, it’s not about what has been done; it’s about what’s next—and how he can continue making Cobb County and Georgia an even better place to live, work, and raise a family.
Feel free to stop Devan if you see him at a local event, church service, or cheering at a local athletic event. He’s always happy to listen and talk about how we can all work together to build a safe and stronger community.
